Christmas 2013

It's the time of the year when we all get together to give out presents, have Christmas dinner, and celebrate the holiday together with families and friends.

But what is Christmas all about?

Christmas is about our Savior.  It's about how He came into the world to bring Salvation to all mankind.  Christ came to save, not to condemn us.  He came to love, not to destroy. He came to give us peace, not problems.

I love Christmas.  It really gives me pleasure to see my kids and wife happy but most of all, it gives me much more joy when they thanked the Lord for our Jesus Christ, our Savior for all the blessings they have.

Let's thank God for all the blessings!

Journeying into 2014

The year of 2013 have given me many new challenges.  As of now, I have been a pastor for the deaf for Grace New Covenant Deaf Mission Church and Executive Director for Fort Smith Association of the Deaf.

My goals for 2014 is to continue to reach out the rejected, the lost, new people to Christ.  I love to preach all about Jesus and share the Love of Christ.  It's one of the most wonderful blessing that God have given me, to preach the wonderful Gospel.

As executive director for Fort Smith Association of the Deaf, I am facing new challenges as well.  Creating events to reach out not only to the deaf but to CODA, the hearing, and those who are interested in the deaf culture and its environments.   FSAD is looking forward to providing new connections to the deaf world, different educational classes , and empower both deaf and hearing worlds !

Thoughts on church leaders.

My thoughts for today.

I noticed that there are some pastors, ministers, and leaders, worried about what's going on in today's world. I was thinking: Aren't we supposed to look up, pray, and not worry about those things? No matter what, in this world, there will be many chaos, wars, famines, and evil doers in the world but we can't let that put fear and anxiety into our hearts and minds. If we show that we are fearful as pastors or leaders, or being upset of how the government is running, or how the world is operating, how do we expect the congregation to feel uplifted? Quit being so fearful and put our trust in the Lord completely and allow Him be the one that guide us and give the peace that the world can't give us. Love, Prayers, and Faith, are the keys that can put the fears of the world out of our minds and hearts. Let's always talk about Jesus, the Good NEWS, the healing, the Love, the good things that God wants us to focus on, not the world's news. The world is not going to bring you peace, happiness, and blessings. Only Jesus, the Son of the Living God, the Word, the Bread of Life, the Prince of Peace, the Healer, The Teacher, can give you the peace, the healing of all kinds, the Love that is eternal, and good things into our lives. Love one another, help each other, and pray for one another. God bless you all!

God loves us even when we failed!

Have you ever heard someone say, "If you do bad, God will get mad and will remember what you have when you reach Judgement Day."  Have you heard something like that?  I have had a friend telling me that he's afraid of God's wrath and imagining that He will punish him because of all those "bad" that he have done.  He was so afraid that he got "saved" out of fear.  To me , that's a wrong way to get saved.  A person should be saved by Love and compassion without fear.  God will not ever force you to be saved because He wants you to be saved through the Love of Christ and without fear.  After all, God is Love and His Love for you is absolute.

God will always continue to love you no matter how much mistakes you have made (including me!) or done things wrong.  It's by His performance that blesses you, not by our performances.  God will not remember your lawless deeds because of what Christ have done for you on the Cross.  Does that mean you and I can do bad things?  No, what I mean is that the more we know how much God have forgiven us and how much He loves us, the less we have the desire to sin because we put Jesus first above everything else. The more we focus on Christ by praying, reading His Word, being around people who loves Jesus, the more we don't focus on "sin". Sure there are times when we fall short and sin but God will always be there to pick us up.  Sin can't control us as long we have Jesus first in our minds, our hearts, and our lives.

(Romans 6:14)
For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

(Hebrews 10:16-18)
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,”
17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

Even when you and I make mistakes , we should not dwell on it, we just say "Thank you God for your forgiveness and making me a new creation.  I am the righteous not because I do the right thing but because of What Christ have done for me.  Through His Blood, I am a new creation and I have Christ inside of me who is the Righteous One so therefore I am the righteousness of God through Christ!" AMEN!

Always remember this:  God loves you and always well.  He's your Father and will always take care of you.  Don't be afraid to boldly go to Him and ask Him what you need.  God wants you blessed and full of joy!

My dream.

I had a dream that I was in the hospital from a horrible car wreck. I was wearing EKG stuff with the heart monitor, and noticed that my other leg was amputated. I could feel my heart rate slowly beating and my wife was on my bedside, crying, and my kids were there asking me to come home. Then all of the sudden, I felt an overwhelming peace as I was drifting off to sleep. I couldn't hear anything and "BAM!" appeared the Devil himself. As I was facing the Devil, all of the sudden, the medieval like armor showed up and it was like God putting it on me getting ready to fight the Devil. I had a sword on my right hand and a shield on my left arm and as I was going to attack, I heard a voice saying "Stop, don't attack with your sword, speak to the Devil with the Word of God and rebuke him!" So I spoke as Christ spoke against the Devil for 40 days and nights. I said " I rebuke you Devil" and the Devil growled and burst into flames. Then I heard my Father, it's just a dream, go back and preach, your job is not done.

I woke up and looked at my left leg and it's still there. My wife was sleeping peacefully and saw my kids getting ready for school and said , "Good morning daddy!". I was trying to not to cry and thought to myself, "I am blessed". I am 35 years old, had some great experiences in Okinawa, Philippines, Hawaii, and many other places and have seen things that were out of ordinary. And I am so blessed that I am still alive and I just know that God wants me to preach the wonderful Gospel of Christ. Bring healing to the sick, heal the brokenhearted, bring Salvation to the people through Jesus Christ and teach them the Kingdom of God. Oh, my heart is still beating and it's beating for Christ. All for Jesus! I thank you Lord for my life, my church, my family, and my friends!

My thoughts as a pastor.

As a pastor, I have tried to be as humble as Christ is.  No matter what, I am still a human being with flaws!  One thing I do know is that as a pastor, I try to make this church uplifting, loving and a place where they can call a spiritual home but it starts with a pastor who is willing to put his ego and pride aside, and allow the Holy Spirit to flow throughout the church.  As long as I, as pastor, keep Christ first above all and know that He is the head of the church, I can be blessed as a pastor.

Here are the list I try to follow as a pastor:

I am not here to judge or condemn you but to uplift you in Spirit and be a forgiving person as Christ is.

The Bible says, "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned.   Forgive, and you will be forgiven. (Luke 6:37)
As a pastor, I do my best to let the congregation feel loved, accepted by God, and let the know that God is for them, not against them.  Yes, people and I will do things that are against His eyes but what is amazing about God is that He's very forgiving and will listen to us as we pray, repent, and ask for forgiveness.  No one, including myself, is as perfect as the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

I am not here to hate, belittle you, or put fear in you but to love you as my brother or sister in Christ, to give you the message of Salvation with the  Love of Christ, to increase your faith in His finished Works, and to give you hope, courage, and peace in the Lord.
This is one of my favorite verse:: "
He answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Luke 10:27) It's important that I pray and ask the Holy Spirit to be prepared before I preach.  The more I know how much I am forgiven and loved by the Most High, the more I can forgive you quickly and love you as much as Christ loved me and you.  Jesus is the first and the last, the Alpha and the Omega, the Finisher of Faith, and or course, or Savior.  He wants us to look at Him as Savior, the Son of God who have sacrificed  His life for us not because He have to but because He loved us so much !

I am thankful to God for this church we are having now.  This church is hungry for the Word of God!  So hungry and thirsty for His Word makes my job as  pastor so exciting!  I feel like I am just a messenger or a pointer to Christ.   I want this church to be all about Jesus and magnify His Name.  I want the blessings of God to flow through this church as we dive into His Living Word.  I just love this church!

Watching today's News (07/26/13)

I was watching the news on ABC News and learned that there was a horrible train accident.  I am praying for those who were injured and not sure if there were any killed in that accident.  I pray that everyone made it alive and recovered.

There are many tropical storms in this world already.  Especially the one that is heading to Hawaii. and its name is Flossie.  Pray for their safety from this storm that may turn into a Hurricane.

I usually don't watch the news since they can be depressing.  But for some reason, the Lord wants me to watch the news and pray for those people.  Prayers are very important for those who are hurt and struggling.

Father, bless those who are hurting and give them health, wisdom and strength along with hope.  Thank you in Jesus' Name, Amen.

My wife, April Dawn!

My wife and I have been married for over nine years.  It's amazing how quickly time have passed by.  My wife is always making sure I am fed, well taken care of, and so much more.  There would be days when I felt like I don't deserve her as my wife cause you know, I can be insensitive to her needs. And yet, she would still continue to love me and smile at me when days are hard.

So I decided to look up in the Bible of what it says about a wife and of how a husband should think of his wife as.

Proverbs 31:10-31

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Virtuous Wife

10 Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
15 She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.
20 She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22 She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.
25 Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.

My wife is an awesome housewife / mother.  She does everything.  She cleans, cooks, washes clothes, and even mow the yard!  She made sure I am resting.  I am sitting here thinking, " Only God can send me a woman like her!  So beautiful, kind, strong, wise, and full of Jesus".

So when the Bible says, " Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her", I realized how much I loved her.  I have already given up my life for her because she sacrificed a lot for me. So when I see some men disregarding their loving wives, that saddens me.  I pray that husbands who have wives that does everything for them, appreciate what they are to them.

Sure there are days when we have ups and downs but that doesn't stop us from loving each other more everyday!

April Dawn, I love you very much!  Thank you for being my wife!

Great day!

Had an awesome day at Grace New Covenant Church!  We had 27 people today!

God bless this church!  Looking forward to many years of this church!  Thank you Lord for the wonderful church!

After preaching my sermon, I realized I am blessed to be alive today to be able to preach.  If it wasn't for my wife, April, encouraging me to keep on reading the Word of God, I probably wouldn't be here today.  I remembered not being able to move,  eat, or even take a sip of water, all because my own body wasn't functioning as it should.  After April gave me a Bible to read, I turned my bible to 1 John 4:17-18

17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

That very next day I read those verses, I was able to get up from my bed, took a bite of food and drank some water!  Even though I was still weak after a week later, I was still able to see my third daughter, Mimi, being born.  What an awesome day that was.  Today, Mimi, is 4 years old and will be 5 very soon.

Love is powerful.  Love can heal.  Love can give all of us hope.  The more we know how much God loves us, the more we can share the Love with other, even with those who we may dislike, God wants us to love them and bless them no matter what.  The more we show love to other, the more they can see Christ in us.

So keep on loving as Christ loved us!

Today's Sermon , "Love Thy Enemy"

What a great day to wake up and thank the Lord for another day!  This is the day that we can say "Thank you Jesus!" for being alive and get to spend time with Him, the family, and friends at the church!

For today's sermon, I will be preaching on the topic, " Love Thy Enemy".  This will be a sermon that will make us all think of how we should treat our enemies, those who have hurt us in all forms,  through the Word of God.

Love your enemy and pray for this person no matter how badly he or she may treat you.  Even God sends rain on those who are good or bad.  God still loves them no matter what.

Matthew 5:43-48

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

Love Your Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies. Pray for those who treat you badly. 45 If you do this, you will be children who are truly like your Father in heaven. He lets the sun rise for all people, whether they are good or bad. He sends rain to those who do right and to those who do wrong. 46 If you love only those who love you, why should you get a reward for that? Even the tax collectors do that. 47 And if you are nice only to your friends, you are no better than anyone else. Even the people who don’t know God are nice to their friends. 48 What I am saying is that you must be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 5:43-48

King James Version (KJV)
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

God bless you all!

Updating my page.

It has been awhile since I have been on this blog page.  I have added a translation box on the upper left corner of the page.  I would like to take this blog to the world and allow them to be able to read this blog in their language.

I am going to see if I can update more on this page.

Thank you very much for your patience and prayers!

Back to the old blog!

Hello everyone!  I am back!  I really enjoyed writing on blogger.  So far, I have been writing on Hubpages and since it's not for personal blog, I decided to pour out my heart to this blogger page again. I hope and pray that this page will continue to bless you.

Grace New Covenant Church *Deaf Mission* is going very well.  As a pastor, I have noticed that many people are hungry and thirsty for His Word.   Since ASL (American Sign Language) wasn't my primary language to start out with, the congregation was kind to teach me as much as they can.  For that, I am always grateful for their love and trust that have in me as a pastor, a friend and a brother in Christ.

This church started out as a bible group that had about 6 people (not to sure if I remembered correctly!) and over the next few weeks, they have asked me to set up a church.  I have had the desire and heart to create a church for a long time and I know that God have called me to the ministry for the deaf.  Now we have over 20 people in the church, both deaf and hearing and I am so blessed to be their pastor.

I would like to start writing my input on my thoughts and experiences as a pastor in this blog.  If you have any question about my experiences, my thoughts, questions on the Bible, let me know!

New Journey!

God is so good!  He have opened door for me to preach in Fort Smith / Chaffee of Arkansas.  I will be doing more bible studies with the group and doing church service starting on March 31 for Easter Sunday!

God's Blessings

Don't take wealth as your number one source of happiness. Our true richness is in our heart when we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. That free gift is eternal life through Jesus Christ.
